6/4/14:
A friend of mine came over and helped reinstall the transmission.
Kiggly Flexplate installed with ARP hardware. Lots of torx were installed here.
End of the day, trans is bolted up.
Tomorrow I have the day off, so I hope to get the car put back together and running.
All this work on it, makes me not want to sell it one bit. |

Problem solved!!
Put in a new crank bushing and spacer plate, no more horrible noise when cranking.
Tomorrow hopefully I can get some tuning done after work since I work day shift.

Transmission out again on 7/1/14:
New vs old spacer plate:
Note the drilled bolt holes in the old and it doesn't sit flat anymore.
Old crank bushing vs. new
Old one has a bit of rapesauce on it.
Trans back in 7/3/14:
Car is on the ground, I just need to get it tuned and do some small stuff to it at this point. |

I was thinking about that last night. I need to see if I fit into a class that I will be competitive with. I have a 5857.
Yeah, still working out the bugs, fixed some major oil leaks, still need to install my oil psi gauge, fix a small trans leak, blah blah blah.
Car is set to 28psi and will stay there this year. Carl thought it was "meh". |
