X Factor, hit up mark (TKR) about your exhaust piping, maybe you can get something simple mocked up yet this week, eliminating one of the cats and getting your cat-back on the car at least!

Yup, do it some evening this week! All you'll need is a few feet of 2.5" stainless steel piping and that thing will be custom and ready to rock.

I remember about a year ago on MNSC Full Blown was offering a free test pipe in exchange for the car's catalytic converter. Might be worth looking into, maybe they still do that.

Re: Dyno Prep Day Party at My House!

Yeah i'd really like to get it done this week for the dyno, i'm going to contact the Mike from RRE, the guy i'm looking at getting headers from so I can get the specs on them and then i'll get in touch with Mark and see if he can help me out this week.

Thanks for all the help and advice this weekend! I learned so much and put a lot of pieces together on things I wasn't sure about, it was a lot of fun and a great chance to get my hands dirty.

Re: Dyno Prep Day Party at My House!

Here's some pics I took of the engine bay with the short ram in, thanks again Scheides, Kevin, and Matt!

And thanks to Chris Hughes for taking off my shitty Brookdale mitsu dealer plate cover! Easily gained 5hp off that mod. I might put the Injen one on, and I think i'm doing to debadge whenever I get the motivation.

Re: Dyno Prep Day Party at My House!

Thanks to Matt and Schiedes for helping out with my boost leak test, and crushing my bov (we were mostly done when Tim got there). I think that the reason the flange leaks so bad is cuz the BOV was bolted to it when it was welded to the charge pipe, and I think the heat warped it. The scooter of death was alot of fun! Sorry I didn't make it back over on saturday, a few things came up so I couldn't make it.

Tim, I just read up on your intake system, exhaust system, and the headers that you want. Sounds like everything is showing nice gains on the dyno, and the video clips of your exhaust system make it sound pretty nice.

Re: Dyno Prep Day Party at My House!

Yeah. When we were talking about it with Mark I got a little worried that maybe I wasn't sure about the gains, but the guy selling them still claims close to 300 hp (i'm assuming he means to the crank, he's just dumb if not) with a m/t.

I think overall gains of about 20 whp with intake/headers/full exhaust, is whats being shown from the dynos, from what I can tell. (obviously varies, but I think that seems to be what the couple people that have done it and posted dynos have shown)

Mark is TkrPerformance, right?

Thanks for helpin me out with the research also, Chris, having someone with more experience give a nod helps ease the conscience.
