Re: MitsuStyle Spring cruise -April 12-13, 2008
I would have loved to go on this cruise also but my Master Cylinder went out as I pulled the car from storage, otherwise I was ready to cruise down there. I have definitely had enough of being cooped up in the house this winter.
Sounds like a good time. The weather was not too bad I should I know I have been spending most of my time in the driveway working on my car this weekend. Wish me luck. I should have the car going before next weekend. I know the wife and I are going to cruise to Brainerd this next Saturday or possibly even down by the lakes.
Good thing everyone had fun. 2 minors sound bad though.

That is so lame about the evos, that's what happens when a group of sick cars all park together in lots, jealous fools.

Re: MitsuStyle Spring cruise -April 12-13, 2008
Some people decided that two (rosey and 311Evo) of the Evo's didn't need their wings and went about trying to remove them. Rosey's wing is cracked down the middle, and 311's wing is just loose. They also broke the rear window wiper off 311's car.
Jungy and his friend (don't know his name here) were the two that got minors.
I don't have any pics of the hot girl on girl action, but it was definatly hot. I'll get the pics I have uploaded tonight.

Re: MitsuStyle Spring cruise -April 12-13, 2008
Haha, whatever, the guys that got minors were hanging out in the hotel walking around with beers, hanging around outside with beer, etc. I'm not saying I wouldn't have done it but it's asking for trouble when you're underage It's like speeding when you are driving w/o a license!
The vandalization I feel completely awful about. From the sounds of it lots of people rolled through that ramp to check out our cars, so if if anyone has any specific or semi-specific info on who might have done it or when it might have happened, please let us know. Both cars have $500 deductible so they are just out the cash
Pics are uploading now, but the weather was WAY better than we were expecting. The ride down we saw some light snow, but the roads were fine. I had the ACD in 'gravel' mode as I usually do in the rain, and never had an issue in all the twisties. Today was SO NICE we decided to just come back the way we came, and it was WAY worth it! We got some awesome pics and had some extra good times at WOT and cranking around the corners.
Can I also say, Anna rode with me the whole way there and back, and while I drove relatively nicely, I nailed all the twisties and hung with the group. She did not get car sick one bit, this is a huge step for her!
The pheasant, hughes hit it and it went flying off over the guardrail instantly, I'm pretty sure it's roadkill No damage to the car!
Janelle's car has a chunk out of the trim around the top of the windshield, Hughes must have hit a small something in the road (he was in front) and whipped it up into her. Nothing major though, perhaps could be covered under glass coverage?
Craig's car just died (gently) as we went to turn left on 61 into LaCrosse, we pushed it over to the Kwik Trip and took valve cover off, all looked well. He turned it over again and it was definitly rod knock. Two years and 40k miles on a built motor at 400whp+ trashed on daily is pretty impressive IMHO, considering mark built the motor when he was drunk the night before the cookout two years ago, the stories alone are worth rebuilding it. Then again there are evos out there for pretty cheap, Craig....
Those of us that were 'of age' tore it up at the local bars, I must have had 10 jack cokes! Chuck, I still owe you a drink man! We were drinking form about 4pm until midnight, not too shabby. Janelle is possibly still sleeping in her car in a park in Lake City. Hope you're feeling better! The hot girl-on-girl action did not coincide with the hot tub, it happened at the bar

Sooo thats where you went. I texted hughes and he said you were all at Ringside. We went back over there and no one was around, but we ended up staying until bar time anyways. Subway at 2am = amazing, btw.
Well I need to re-hydrate myself. I've been hungover all damn day!

Re: MitsuStyle Spring cruise -April 12-13, 2008
Holy shit was that a fun weekend! I have a bunch of pics to upload in a bit here. The weather was fine on Sat and great today...I think we all left plenty of rubber on the highways
Janelle is feeling better now, but she definitely had too much to drink tonight and took multiple "nap stops" on the drive home (she broke off from the group and went straight home). Her car is not too badly damaged; just the black trim piece that surrounds the windshield. My car is fine after that killer bird attacked it, but my windshield is full of Kevin's DSM juice.
I feel really bad for Rosey and 311; vandalism is so senseless it just doesn't make sense.
The bars were a good time and I think we all partied pretty hard/long! I also am really impressed with the restaurant we ate lunch at both days.
All in all this was another great cruise weekend and I hope everyone that came along feels the same! It was nice meeting some of you for the first time and I hope you are able to make it out to more events

I had a blast and it was great to meet everyone again/for the first time. Vandalism, blown engine, and minors suck, but hopefully everything works out for you guys. I agree, food was pretty damn good at the lunch stops both days. Hope to see everyone again at the dyno day! (if I can make it!!)

turns out #3 spun the bearing hopefully the warranty is still good on the bearings so it just cost gas and time to fix the car.

Re: MitsuStyle Spring cruise -April 12-13, 2008
i want to send a personal thanks to hughes and scheides for putting this together. this was my first cruise, and i had a blast. theres just something so cool about 20 cars on the freeway, bunched up, and rolling together. it was nice meeting everyone too.
the vandalism completely frustrates me. so pointless... sorry rosey and 311evo. i hope you can both get those two nice evos back in top shape soon.
i personally still dont know my own damn name from my hangover... but holy crap, wisconsin has cheap liquor!
thanks everyone for a really good time! see you on the next one!
