What happened to last years head? Are you not running a 2g head anymore?
Is this weekend soon enough for that OFH? I have the spring too.

I sold that whole longblock last november in hopes of building a new motor.
I'd like that spring ASAP, i guess I might be going out of town so i'm gonna try and have this motor running by friday or at least in the car ready to start before i leave.

Thanks I appreciate it.
Picked up a 2G head from Goatblower, I took the lifters out last night to bleed them. Hopefully tomorrow or friday I'll get back to reassembly.

Hey have you gotten to try out the manual rack yet? Kinda of thinking of pulling the piston on mine.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Car isn't running yet, not even close.
So far I basically have the head bolted to the motor and the head is empty.
At this point I probably won't make PG I just have way too much going on that trumps that. I'm gunning for some other track days this year though.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
lol, a couple of good friends helped me get as far as I did.
I'm just not all giddy for PG like some people, although the way work looks I might have thursday and friday off so who knows.
I picked up lifters/rockers, T-belt I was missing so we will see. It's doable easily I've put a more torn apart car together a lot faster.
I'll get pics up next post.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Injectors checked out perfect latency and flow all within 1% of each other they left FIC today.
Hopefully this new crown and filling doesn't render me useless the rest of the day because I'm hoping to get the motor together and ready to put in tomorrow.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Giant thanks to Carltalon for coming out to help yet again, sorry I put him through working in shitty conditions. Another big thanks to Halon for the hoist.
The car needs the lower IC pipe remade, i need a fitting (3/8" to -4an) for the turbo feed line, and other random crap that will stop me from starting up the car soon.
But here is how it sits, first time it has had an engine since last november.
