Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
Just got my Pennzoil rebate a week ago. Slower than Mobil, but it still came none-the-less. Schweet!

Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
Where are you guys buying the oil, I dont see any recognizable stores on their list besides home depot or napa, which walmart usually beats. No amazon on the list this time either?

Walmart. Last time I had emailed Mobil asking if they would accept Walmart and Amazon (cheapest places I've ever found) and they said yes to both.

Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
A guy on Corvette Forum called and confirmed Walmart and Amazon receipts will both be accepted. I just ordered 10 quarts and a filter from Amazon.

Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
Mobil 1 5W-30 Extended Performance is my oil of choice. I've never run the Mobil 1 oil filter before, but I'll give it a go this time around.

Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
I'm considering going with the extended range stuff, and switching to yearly oil changes instead of Spring and Fall changes. Otherwise I just do the 5W-20 Super in the Spring, and 0W-20 M1 in the Fall.

Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
Do people go say a year on the Extended Range stuff? I pretty much do a change in the spring, and change in the fall. And at those intervals it doesn't seem to really matter if I use the extended range. But if it can last me a whole year so I can just do oil changes in the spring, then I might give it a shot.

Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
Also I just noticed the Pennzoil rebate is also in effect again now for 2016 (up to 2 rebates per household)
http://www.pennzoil.com/promotions-national-rebate/
And also Quaker State for 2016 (up to 3 rebates per household)
http://www.quakerstate.com/promotions-national-rebate
I have emails off to both of them to verify Walmart / Amazon purchases will be honored.

Any semi-synthetic or better is good for a full year. I run the regular semi-syn ACDelco Dexos1 for a full year in my Cruze, two years in the Volt. My dad runs the M1 EP for a full year in his C6, and I plan to do the same in my C7 once I'm out of free oil changes at the dealer and switch over to DIY.

Re: Rebate: MOBIL oil & filters!
Never heard back from Quaker State. So I just went and bought a jug of QSUD Synthetic from Walmart and will send in the receipt and see what happens. Hopefully it works! If so, then shit between Mobil, Pennzoil, and QS rebates I'll be rock sub $20 syn oil changes errry-day!

Is that clean 5000 a "super synthetic"?
