Like a tire valve stems? The last boost leak tester I made I used a swivel fitting and made it seem a little better.

Yea maybe.... Nope, its got a weird thing with the fan switch the guy wired in but I think that was just the previous owner being slow.

I'm looking at getting some new wheels/tires soon. I'm leaning towards some black rpf1's like everybody has because they are light and cheap.

Or I was thinking maybe gunmetal or hyper black rota torques. I'd love a set of work's but I'm far too cheap to spend that kind of money on wheels

Thoughts/input appreciated!

Oh. That looks just like carpet padding which is why I assumed mice must have been living in the heater core

I'll have to try that if I make another one. I might be down, I have to put some insurance on it though. Hit me up before you go out though!

Same kind of crap, but I think it was from the fire wall padding. At least I know how to take a blower motor out quickly now. I test drove a few 2g's that had that same noise so it's nice to know what the problem is and its an easy fix as long as you have a guy like Nick around to hook up dsm guys on shell parts

What size tires do you have on it? I'm going to test fit a set of rpf1's tomorrow that are 17x8 +35. I remember your rims looking really nice on your car. Any issues with rubbing? I think I read somewhere that you said they stick out a bit?

Re: Brad's 5th DSM...

It put down 263awhp at 22.5 psi when it came in. I don't think another 3.5psi would put it up to 409awhp. So take internet dyno number claims with a grain of salt. Maybe some E85 next week to see if it can get over 350.

LOL @ #'s

Maybe they need to re-calibrate their dyno, if that's possible?

Re: Brad's 5th DSM...

Big thanks to Shane for looking over the tune and fitting it on the dyno! Came in knocking and left up almost 30awhp and no knock.

And because everybody likes pictures, here is the wack dyno run and some other randoms

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmeG-Z7WQLo&feature=plcp&context=C469c964VDvjVQa1PpcFMk 6Y4T-8wicV634aAQJEEIq6EWmqnLhaQ%3D&hd=1

Before the Shane tune

After Shane's tune

Plan on putting corn in it this weekend and head back for an e70 tune next week

Also going to be keeping my eye out for an aftermarket intake manifold, fp exhaust manifold, some sort of 02 housing with an external wastegate setup and maybe a set of different cams if I find a really good deal on a used set. So much for leaving this thing alone... Still pulls way harder than the s2k even did

Thanks for the info on the wheels Chris. That's the exact same offset tire setup I'm looking at tomorrow. Glad to hear it'll fit.

I did look at the feathers and just looked at daylites and I'm not 100% sure I like the look of them. Plus the rpf1's I'm looking at tomorrow are a pretty good deal.

I took a different job that required driving around the cities and I wanted one car with AC, so I sold it and got an evo. About 6 cars late I'm back into a black 2g

Haha yea numbers weren't close to what the guy claimed but they seem about on par for a dsm on pump gas with these mods. I'm not sure if he was claiming these numbers after some crazy correction factor or if he just made it up or what was up. Oh well, hopefully it'll hit 400 or very close to it before the summer is over.

Re: Brad's 5th DSM...

Thanks! I really miss the evo but I do not miss a car payment. Also insurance is so much cheaper on this car and dsm parts are so much cheaper than evo stuff.
