Re: 2002 Subaru WRX

well I guess I can share the story. So on a snow afternoon a two good friends of mine decided to go play in the snow. Everything was going normal until I we approached that turn a little too fast and a hit the brakes hard. They locked up and stayed locked up even after I took my foot off the brake pedal. So we continued to slide and I couldn't steer of course because we were sliding. And we took a nice little jump up that snow bank, through the fence and into the trees! It was blast! I think the biggest damage was three brown spots on the seats. But seriously, new front bumper, control arm, grill, headlights, paint rear bumper, u frame support, and a few other things. Hopefully done this week though!

Wow dude, do you have the ABS hooked up? I've been rocking without it all winter in my Suby, it's been pretty crazy. Subaru ABS is near useless anyway...

If you ever destroy that chassis too bad you can always do a GC8 swap like me The beauty of driving legos.

Well, the ABS is working so to go into more detail, the ABS did engage, but was quite useless over the ice and it just kept sliding even after I got off the brakes and tried to get on the gas so I could steer or do something at least.

Yea, if I ever screw up the frame somehow (hopefully not!) I definately have some options!

Most definately going through withdrawls, so sick of driving the wife's equinox! Can't wait to get back in it this week! Just stock headlights for now though, but the eyelids will be gone which is a good thing, probably a retrofit in the future! When I get the tune done finally we ought to go screw around in the snow!
