Bump, installed a shiny radiator a few weeks back (more so necessity than for bling...but I went with a semi-bling one ), and today I dropped off some stuff at Primo for polishing and powder-coating.
Sunday I'll start cleaning up the engine bay, lord knows it will take a week to clean this thing!

Last night I shaved and painted my valve cover. Going to slap it on with a new gasket set today and then give it a wash the day before the cookout or something.

A clay bar is a clay bar, they're all the same. All it is, is a piece of clay that you rub on your paint to remove any contaminates that have been embedded into the surface of your paint. It's usually a pretty good idea to run over it with a fine polishing compound when you get done to remove any fine scratches they can leave behind.

Re: Who's got plans to bling up their hooptie for the Cookout?
Yeah, after using a clay bar, you should get some polish and wax on there. The clay bar will take wax off.
A clay bar is a must for cars that sit outside a lot or get driven a lot. I've never used it on my Spyder or Stealth. But they barely even get wet. I've used it on my GSX before. It works wonders.

Curt

Re: Who's got plans to bling up their hooptie for the Cookout?
Someone was kind enough to drag their key down the top of my left fender, so I'm gonna try to sand and buff that out today. Luckily it didn't go through the clear coat.

Oh no, its 100% bling with a performance factor.
For those that have seen my riced out piece of crap with its drip molding problem... Problem solved.

I am going to claybar, polish, and wax the car for the first time ever. I might not want to sell my car afterward.

I am guessing that is a new battery box?
Is that polished aluminum or super shiney powdercoating?
