Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Buy a replacement PCV valve from the Mitsu dealer. Do NOT take the vacuum line off the wastegate, doing so will make the boost uncontrollable!

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Oh no that would be no good. Is there someway i can keep my waste gate open? Like simply turn down the boost as much as possible with the Manuel boost controller?

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Hook the boost source line directly to the wastegate if you want to run less boost.
Or disconnect the wastegate actuator arm from the the turbo, it'll just stay open that way. But you won't make any boost at all until probably 4 or 5k rpms.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
PCV is located on the back of the valve cover. It routes to a nipple on the intake manifold.
Are you talking about the vent on the passenger side of the valve cover? As long as that's not clogged or plugged, I'd leave that alone.

Oh fuck. Yeah, what they said about the routing of the line directly to the wastegate. I forgot how I did it because it was so long ago.
Whoops.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Didn't you already do a boost leak test? With pressure in the intake system, you'll know whether or not your PCV is leaking...when you did it, did you pop the oil cap off and see if a TON of air escaped?
Yank the ecu, pop the cover, take a pic, post it here. Not a cell phone pic, a nice clean digital camera pic, preferably with in macro mode.

There are no gaskets anywhere on the transmission. Get gray RTV.
It sounds like your clutch is not disengaging correctly. I'd go for new master & slave cylinder's, as they like to die (especially the slave); I broke a transmission when my slave went out and I ground a gear. It's worth $50 to know that's not your issue and won't be in the near future. Watch the 'proper clutch adjustment' video on jackstransmissions website.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
You have a long ways to go and many other things to try before you even need to consider dropping the tranny and opening it up.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
-Transmission i would need to get some RTV. A new slave as well as master cylinder.
-During the Boost leak down test literally all the air was coming out the inter cooler piping. After i purchased some new hoses. The leak stopped. The next place where it escaped was from the injector seals. (The tester that was used was not a quality one. I am in the process of building a better one) Therefore i repeated the test multiple times to ensure there was no air escaping.
-Where exactly is the ECU located? Under the radio next to the passengers left foot right? I looked it up on the internet but would like to make sure.
-Regarding the pictures. I will mess around with the attachments and find out how to post without problems. My Phone camera is pretty good quality. I will use a Digital Camera though.
-This sure has turned into a project Will i be able to get all this done within the next two weeks.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Getting back to car racers comment. The PCV vent did look pretty bad. My question now then if the hose connects to the intake manifold. What will happen with the air after i replace the nipple with a little air cone filter?

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Making no boost at all would be the preferably way to go. Until all problems are sorted out. It feels like i am making somewhat of a progress.
Does anybody know a definite reason for the blue smoke out of the exhaust. The car obviously burns oil. If it isnt ring related. The only other things left are
-Turbo
-Or
-Valve seals/ (Problem with the head assembly)
That is all i can come up with as of right now.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Why you are talking about putting a little filter on the intake manifold? Replace the PCV valve and leave everything else alone.
The ECU is located under the radio as you mentioned.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
A tone of stuff Why does everything awesome(DSM) always have a negative side to it. The car smokes A LOT! I need to convert the video files in order to play them on here or on youtube.
-Oh and by the way i am not that old. The car part on the other hand, yeah is pretty old! I like having a car as old as me. We will see who survives longer.

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
If its running rich enough that the oil smells like fuel, something is obviously way wrong, more than a pcv valve or anything like that.
1. Your caps in the ecu have leaked
2. the fuel injectors are not 560cc and are way bigger.
3. that chip in the ecu is all screwed up and holding open the fuel injectors way too long
4. the Maf is bad, and saying your getting alot more air than you actually are.
I wouldn't drive it much till you figure out the fuel smoke, cause if the oil stinks its probably washing fuel down the cylinder walls...

Re: 1G Trouble shoot assistance needed
Wow, now that is something different from what i have been told. When i thought about it though i came up with the same conclusion. What you described car psyco sounds pretty believable. You guys are the professionals. I mean as soon as i changed the oil, and started the car. Letting it fully warm up I sniffed the dip stick and it definitely smelled like fuel. My injectors are 560's though that is for sure. I really need to take a look at the ECU i will do that 1st thing tomorrow. I am at the point where i think i should just get the car towed to a shop and have them deal with it.
I was told that all that needed to be done, was to change THE INTAKE MANIFOLD!!! As well as rebuild the injectors! Now i have to replace pcv (cheap), ecu, etc. Watch me have to rebuild the motor because it is a piece of crap! Getting a new chip would cost at least a 100, a tune is $350, shifter cable adjustment $160, a new Mass air flow 100! Those are still cheap rates.
