Re: Goodbye Moss?
Its the best thing for the vikings...they want the team to be dante's team. That can't happen when you have moss, I think you'll find out that this was the best thing they did. If you don't know who mike williams is, USC WR that tried to go pro last year but failed just like clarret, because of the college rules stating you have to stay until your junior year. This williams guy is gonna be the next hot reciever and if the vikings aquire him with their 7th pick, yahtzee!! He's big he's physical and he doesn't complain
Go LIONS!!!

Yeah, that Williams guy is a pretty hot prospect. I think he is listed at 6'5'", thats pretty tall for a receiver.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
I'd watch Nate Burleson next year Had over a 1000 yards last season pulled some catches out of his ass, seems like he really wants to play. He was way under rated playing in the shadows of an ass clown who always got the spotlight when he never put forth a full effort to deserve it.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
Yeah, Burleson has some skills! This will give Campbell some more room to shine as well. He seems like he is starting to get things rolling.
Hopefully we get some good linemen this year, we desperately need some D linemen and the O line isn't that great either. EJ is coming along well for LB's and hopefully Harris can be in there too. Now if we can get another CB in free agency, we will be looking better.
We were looking decent at WR, so I think this will help the team overall. It should also fire them up. I heard an interview this morning with Birk on 93X and he is pumped! He said a lot of other players are too. We'll just have to see!

Re: Goodbye Moss?
I just hope people start canceling thier season tickets. That way maybe I can move up a little. 7 years ago, I was in the 16th row, now I'm in the 13th row. Big move huh. I figure by the time I retire I might be in the lower deck.
Oh, and about Moss, It would have been nice to trade with SF and get the #1 pick plus a decent player, but I think #7 and a linebacker is a borderline ripoff. We should have gotten more for him. But on the plus side, now we have a lot more room under the cap to pick up one or two players in free agency.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
THe Vikings did talk to the 49ers and from what was kinda made out to be a no fucking way deal by the 49ers. The Vikes wanted the #1 pick + Lullian Peterson which is one of the best Defensive players in the game today. The 49ers just ptu the Franchise tag on him. He was hurt most of last year. I think the Cikings will do just as good without Moss. While he was hurt this year the other guys really stepped it up when they where given a chance.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
Ya know I guess when you think about it, this is prolly a better move for the team. We still have Nate Burleson, Marcus Robinson, and Kelly Cambell. Cambell is really fast, so thats a plus, he's just so small though. Plus we still have Jermaine Wiggins. He got us plenty of yards last season. So when you think about it, we will more than likely pick up another star reciever from losing moss, but we'll also pick up some defensive people. Which we need. The Vikings would have won plenty a more games if they could have actually stopped certain teams. Who knows. Now I can go buy a cheap Vikings jersey...lol.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
Nice to see it made official. Moss said "a 7 year run with the Vikes is a long time, like a marriage". LOL
I think the Vikings will be better without him, but I still hate the team.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
Now they better take that number 7 pick and try and get Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
There are rumors floating around that Ty Law may be coming to MN. That would be sweet! Kenoy Kennedy's name has been coming up a lot too.
The Vikes have the most money under the cap of any NFL team now. I hope they pick up some good free agents and make a run!

Re: Goodbye Moss?
If they get Law I'm gonna be pissed. As soon as his name hit the free agent block the 49ers called up his agent. I want the 49ers to go after both Law and Troy Brown. Then use the #1 draft pick to get a fucking QB or RB.

I heard about the Ty Law rumors too. And I'm just praying that it happens. That would be the shit.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
Yeah, Ty Law and Winfield for corners would be pretty sweet! It sounds like they just signed a defensive lineman too.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
thats where we really need the help. Defense. Our offense is potent enough, even without Moss. We have a lineup of great running backs. Some decent recievers, in which I'm hearing we may go after some guy....Williams I think from USC. Though I think I'd be looking to trade Michael Bennet as well. Grab another great defense man or a bad ass reciever or something. We have Onterrio and Mewelde who can stand up and get the job done. We dont need Bennet. We even have Moe who is great on the third down situations.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
I agree, Bennett is just extra money spent. The Vikes have a lot of possibilities to get better.

Re: Goodbye Moss?
The Vikes are really impressing me! The have signed Pat Williams for the defensive line, CB Fred Smoot and resigned Wiggins. All great moves! Gardner is on the trading block from the sounds of it too. Spend the #1 picks on a WR and O lineman and we would be in good shape. They are looking at a safety too on free agency.
