If they show up again, I might help make that a reality. Shit was obnoxious.

I suppose it depends on if there's an Import day coinciding with this SO.

If you're just looking to race then it's a ridiculous drive. I won't even be racing. I'm just going to shoot video and photos, meet some people, etc.

Anyone go? Any word on what Shep ran? I saw he had the car back running and was doing some testing.

First run:

Second run:
He didn't even make it to the 1/8 before his intake manifold backplate welds blew from a nitrous backfire.

I wonder if the kid in the timing shack got hit again?

Isn't he RWD now? I could be wrong though, but for some reason I thought he converted it over.

Re: Buschur Shootout 2011
Looks like it's still AWD. I know Robert @ FP had said he was at shep's installing a new 105HTA last week.
I hope to see some video's as bad ass as last years shootout had.

Re: Buschur Shootout 2011
I actually just found a video of his second run:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztxFN...layer_embedded
He broke before the 60', my mistake. And he wrote on Facebook that he blew a burst panel. Guess he didn't want to hit the timing kid again.

He's running a Ford 9" with a 4 link still AWD.

Re: Buschur Shootout 2011
How does he not eat up center diffs running a Ford 9 with a dsm Awd trans and tcase? I'm a newb when it comes to ratios and such...but I doubt the ratios are the same, I would imagine it would chew up the center diff. I suppose being shep he found a way around that.

Re: Buschur Shootout 2011
The DSM rear gear is a 3.55, very easy to install a set of gears into your 3rd member on a ford 9". And he has a Dog box for a tranny, so the only thing stock about it is the case, full billet gears inside and a billet spool, no center diff.

Re: Buschur Shootout 2011
We made the journey again, the Evo threw a rod out the side of the block on its second pass (first pass bogged launch but appreciable 154mph trap at just 880whp) and the FDSM ran two 8.2 passes around 169mph, unfortunately no 7 second pass...yet
