Which lead me to look for other sources of sweet fastners.

Ti and Al fasteners galore. Muahahahhahaha. WTF. Mine are rusty boring steel! Why not throw on some over priced Ti alloy ones! 'Cuz those few ounces ADD UP!!! Bahaha. wow.

Re: Sleepydsm's 2006 Evo IX GSR

Ugh, MAP screwed up my spring order. Taking like two weeks longer, grrrr.

Once I get the Bilsteins, Swift Spec Rs, new mounts, and an alignment.

Then the real fun will begin.... Muahahaha

Re: Sleepydsm's 2006 Evo IX GSR

The weather is too crappy to enjoy new suspension anyways, think of it as keeping your new struts clean.

I was wondering when you were getting rid of that ugly bumper. Looks 1000x better.

Re: Sleepydsm's 2006 Evo IX GSR

While cruising to work one day.... My worst nightmare happened! I WAS DRIVING A SUBARU!

I looked in the mirror, and didn't see a flat brim. I pulled over, made sure my wheels were normal colored.

Then I wondered how someone swapped an Ej25 into my car while I WAS DRIVING? Must be those interdimensional beings (aka aliens).

...Or my #2 intake valve spring broke *GRRR*

Which led to this....

Re: Sleepydsm's 2006 Evo IX GSR

In the bag is my shortblock, sitting on a pallet. Next to it is the RTV'd xfer case! (bitches)

And next to that is my tranny.

After having good experiences with John Shep,

I was gonna try Jack's for my evo... But I'm second guessing that...

Current Status:

Head had no bent valves, is at machine shop and has been refreshed.

Bought Mitsu engine gasket set

as well as MAP H11 Ultimate duty headstuds

and ACT HD w/ Sprung 6 puck

Put new "MAP Beehive" valve springs in head.

Waiting on Jim (TalonEvo/Fiero) to sell me his FP4R cams

Kurdy sold me brand new Dunlop Direza Sport Z1 Star Specs in the stock size
(no more snow tires for me)

I have been slow with this project as it has been more late-fall-like than spring. Brr!!
