Re: mn seat belt law + bull

I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt, but I still think the law is stupid. It's good for kids because some parents just don't look out for their kids, but at some point you are old enough to look out for yourself. What other laws could they come out with with that are pretty much the same thing? Heck, it's still legal to smoke nasty stinky cigarettes, but you better be buckled up 'for safety' doing it while driving.

I do think if someone never wore one before, it would be very hard to remember to do it all the time.

-- But a law is a law. If you forget the speed limit and speed, that won't be a good excuse to not get a speeding ticket.

It doesn't feel right to drive my car without a seatbelt on, so I always make sure to throw it on before I go anywhere.

I am a car accident survivor because of seatbelts. I have a scar on my head and a brother that is buried as a reminder. Wear your fucking seatbelt.

Well, its a law. Kinda hard to argue with that. If you don't follow it, don't complain about the repercussions because YOU broke the law. That's your bad. Obviously this isn't the first time you have broke a law and maybe you should have know better by now?....

I am also alive today because of a seat belt. I know at least a half dozen people off hand that would be dead if it wasn't for a seat belt. I can also knew plenty of people that are gone because they didn't wear a seat belt.

Re: mn seat belt law + bull

Your situation is your own doing. I know you cant be gangsta with your seatbelt on, but its the law and thats that. Just put it on.
I have been in your situation before (20+ Tickets and not enough money to pay). Its not the fault of the Government/police that you decided to flee instead of paying a fine. Your drivers license is a privelage not a right. If you owe money and cant afford to pay your tickets, dont get behind the wheel.
