Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
Wow, I'm very sorry for his family and friends. I also always wear my seatbelt. About 10 years ago my half brother was in a car accident. He was clinically dead when the EMTs got to the scene, they revived him, then he "died" 2 more times by the time they got to the hospital. Luckily they were able to revive him. He came out of it with severe brain damage, a broken neck, several broken ribs, , broken collar bone, and one of his lungs collapsed twice. Neither him, or the driver of the car were wearing their seatbelts, and they both would have come out far better if they had been.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
I've been wearing mine ever since my buddies were hit head on by a drunk driver and messed them both up really bad. I should've been right in front of them and I probably would've been killed. Plus my best buddy from high school was killed in a head on collision, he wasn't wearing his seatbelt.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
Even moving cars around in a shop I have put on a seat belt, the only time I do not wear one is when I go ice fishing and am driving on the ice.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
I have put mine on since I was a little kid. And with how EASY things can get dangerous with a faster than normal car, it really seems like a no brainer to me.
As Swanny said, Darwin strikes again. I don't want to sound like a cold harted jackass, but when your own actions cause your end, there's not much to say. But who knows, maybe he would have bled to death, slowly and painfully, waiting for and ambulance, or another person, to show up.
P.S. Wow Matt.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
That's why laws are in place to wear your seatbelts, they're not there because cops wanna be dicks. They don't want to be scraping you off the pavement, because someone was too lazy to click it. I feel for the family, but peoples decisions effect future actions.
I personally wear my seatbelt all of the time, even if it's a quick trip or moving cars around. It only takes a second, and could save my life.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
I don't get hoe someone can forget to put it on. I don't even think about it when I put mine on. it's just something I do. As others ave said, it feels weird to ride or drive without one, and the only time I don't wear one is when driving around on the ramp at the airport for work.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
I put mine on while just driving in a parking ramp, I'm super anal about it. Most people end up buckling up in my car when I'm driving after the first turn
Anyone remember the girls that were ejected from their car on the way back from the Duluth cruise a few years ago? Too many people don't wear them, I don't get it.

Yea that was pretty crazy. Andrew you were driving with me... you had that girl with, that we can never remember her name... lol
That was on 35W as we got around forest lake. We stopped on the side of the road and then cops told us to move. Remember?

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
That was a pretty bad accident. I'm very surprised they made it out alive.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
Yeah its a bummer when stuff like that happens. Its too bad that it could be prevented by something that takes less than 5 seconds to do.
Im not so much worried about myself as I am the other morons that are on the road. You never know when some drunk bastard is going to run into you. I have had to many close calls to even think about rolling without my seatbelt on. My 96 TSi was destroyed while it was parked in front of Porkys last summer by some kid showwing off for the crowd. Thank god I wasnt in it or I would still be picking glass out of my eyes. It just goes to show you dont even have to be rolling to get hit by some clown.

Re: Wear your fucking seatbelt!
god speed man! i always wear my seatbelt even if it is a 2 min drive. Life is too short to take risks like that. It only takes a second to put on its not that hard to do. Its very easy to protect yourself!
