Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?
Maybe just get the car detailed and a new fender but my car is in shitty shape body wise so it doesn't really matter for me....

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?
Drop the car 2" with sportlines and kyb agx's
Put in energy suspension bushings (3 weeks to order and ontop of that FedEx needs help...)
change the rear end to a 4 bolt
POR 15 all the pieces that make up the rear
Clean up the wiring from the MS2 system and make it looks nice(yes, ms2 works!!) Tune it a little...
find a boost gauge to go over 20psi
Found a sun roof with a detachable switch from U pull, install that
Clean, wax, detail, drive, repeat...
Almost there...
Last year didn't make it but this year will be there!!

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?
Maybe if I don't have the gsx sold at that time I can have the second most ricer 2g there! I believe the #1 spot is still spoken for.
And on the talon I want to tuck the main wiring loom under the intake mani, that's about it. Oh yea and get my fuel pump rewired so it actually works reliably.

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?
Welp Aside from some cleaning, I'm ready to rock for the cookout. When I started this thread last week, springs were at the back of my mind. Then look what happened! Heh!
Mynes Hood dampers installed (note, matches black car perfectly ):
Tails painted, sanded, and buffed by Kevin, sooo sexy:
Springs installed, and was at Jeff Forss (thealgnmentguy) yesterday when MAP called begging for a last-minute alignment on their FDSM...He put his foot down, I LOL'd!
Took this shot this AM, NO other cars for hundreds of yards around me. Right after I took this pic, this douche in a tan CRV pulls up and literally parks right beside me, wrecking the shot. I was out of the car, camera in hand, crouched down and obviously taking pics. Actually, you can see him pulling in, just over the hood of the car:
So, I settled for this shot instead. Time to start cleaning her up, need to install my new pimpin' radiator hoses too (ugly bulge in one of them )

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?
Looking good, Scheides!
My bumper and grill are getting painted right now. Then I just need to clean the engine bay, give the body a good wash and I should be ready. Sadly, I'm pretty sure I won't have enough time to fix my new hood and get it painted.

Lookin good Scheides.
I will be getting my bumper and trim piece back today from Maaco. I will also be finishing up getting the setup back together as much as possible, and start trying to dial it in as best as I can for the Dyno Day that Saturday.

Re: Cookout is close! Any major plans?
Well the 96 Talon Tsi that everyone knows about is actually running now. So i'll be showing up with it all cleaned up and waxed. Also hoping to give everything under the hood a good polish.

Considering I'll be driving to the cookout from Bemidji, I just hope to not have too many bugs on the windshield!
