Re: Possible PINKS Project
Yeah, I would do some fudging around un there. Different amounts of nitrous and boost would screw with their minds. I think we should get a little friendly shop to shop competition. DB vs LSE? MAP vs. one o the other. I also agree on turning the clock on.

Re: Possible PINKS Project
High vs. low boost, nitrous vs no nitrous, meth vs no meth...there are plenty of things you can do to make sure you do not run out of bargaining chips.
My personal favorite would be messing around with slicks as well on an awd . If you get them SWEEET, if not, use drag radials .

Re: Possible PINKS Project
Somebody here at the shop was talking about using a nitrous setup as a fake bargaining chip. Just install a purge setup and maybe later agree to remove the nitrous system.

That's what Full Race did on their pink civic hatch when they were on pinks.

Re: Possible PINKS Project
a guy on the dsmlink forum was on it with a 95 style mustang and lost bad to a older one. There was a girl driving the 95 mustang and their team did a crappy job on bargaining. They lost races and still wouldn't get any extra room or anything.

Re: Possible PINKS Project
I have a '97 GSX that would be a perfect candidate for PINKS.

Re: Possible PINKS Project
I'd be willing to let a shop use my car to be used on that show if I get it back after the show and get to keep the mods too.
2 red 2gb gsx go head to head. That sounds good.
hey DSM shops you guys want to do it?

Re: Possible PINKS Project
Just make sure you conceal every mod on the car. Build a cage for the car and instead of using a nitrous bottle, use the inside of the cage. Use a high/low boost and wire it into your rear wiper switch. Just small things that others wont pick up on. Thats what I would do....

Re: Possible PINKS Project
Giving the car back is determined by the two people who are going to race, negotiating that before hand. On another forum I check out, one of the high rollers didn't give the car back, he kept it and beat the hell out of it. Kinda an ass, but he said, if you aren't willing to lose your car, what are you doing going on "Pinks".
BTW, I'm sure I have some parts I could donate if a MN DSM crew decided to build a budget car for this. They match you up with others who claim similar hp #'s(and I think build cost/or approx. value?).
