Then why are you asking if you should do it Get it done already if you know what to do.

Theres a bunch of people on here without DSM's I think. You don't get kicked out if you sell your DSM and don't get another Mitsu product. Hell I don't own a DSM anymore and don't know the greatest amount about them, so now i just come on here to bug people like you.....haha

unless you mean that you know you need to bring it to a real shop.. I'd worry about you. My guess is that you couldn't tell the difference between the gears once you open up the tranny If you get into the inside of the tranny, it's a big cluster fuck with big / little gears all over the place. In reality, it's not complicated. However if you are untrained, you will just see a bunch of gears and have no idea what to do. Putting a wave washer or thrust bearing on backwards can completely screw up everything.
lol the wave washer / thrust bearing stuff is for A/ts :P woops

Re: Transmission wont go into reverse
If the balls aren't in the rails the car will not beable to get gears.

Re: Transmission wont go into reverse
As I said, you'd be better off not touching it. The more shit you mess up, the more it will cost.
