Yeah exactly. I really can't be mad because mistakes do happen and the car has a warranty for a reason.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!
Most likely tomorrow. Small chance it could be today...but not holding my breath. This is a mighty expensive repair bill for Mitsu though! Transfer case, fluids, labor, plus a rental car for nearly a week.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!
WOOOOOOOOO! Actual cost to Mitsu after parts, fluid, labor, rental car, etc. > $4,000! So happy to have it back after nearly a full week. The dealer also got a brand new transmission approved and shipped to them "just in case" so that was pretty damn cool too! I kept the stock tranny since it's perfect, but I think that was awesome of the dealership to go above and beyond like that.

Wow, a dealership honoring a warranty... even after a few basic mods that had nothing to do with the failure of their product. Awesome, free bump!

Don Herring sells brand new modded Evos in staged packages even. Basically, he rocks.

YUP! He said that even if Mitsu corporate denies the warranty then the dealership itself will pick up the bill.

Had an argument with my father tonight over the mess in WI (that's where I'm from). He's a really unbalanced dude without me to counter his arguments. I'm no conservative...I'm a libertarian/in the middle. From my perspective life and decisions are complicated. I think it'd be healthier for everyone to be conflicted rather than at one pole or another.
I love the Houston metro. I'm sure there are many other great places there but I'll probably have to go bankrupt to get out of my condo at this point. That being said, who knows what the future holds.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!
I'm sorry but the whole union thing is messed up. Whether or not their whole CB rights should be taken away or not is a different topic and for a different thread, but...
I have a buddy and his Mom is collecting her pension from the first school district she worked for plus another. She "retired" right when she could retire and moved districts and started working again. So not only was she being paid for teaching while collecting a pension for teaching... but now she is retired and collects TWO pensions for teaching...
Her husband is a painter and makes 25K a year... you would swear they both pulled 6 figure salaries though the way they live. Teacher benefits are wayyyyyyyyyy too good atm.

That's the conversation that I had with my father. He's a poor, uneducated guy that has been a union employee most of his life. He just doesn't understand that the unions we're talking about are white-collar unions and not blue collar. The blue-collar folks get screwed no matter what happens.
I met a dude at the local bar who was a Sheriff in Alabama. He 'retired' after 20 year (at the age of 38) and then went to work full-time for the MN State Patrol. If he 'retires' at the age of 58 from the MN State Patrol then he'll be pulling down a six-figure pension. He's currently making six figures between his 'retirement' and day job with the State Patrol. How do you group that kind of state employee in with the "janitor" that the liberal talk shows talk about? You can't.
