Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
The Solo rulebook has everything you'll ever need to know. Just remember, if it doesn't explicitly allow it, it's not allowed: http://scca.com/documents/Solo_Rules...Solo_Rules.pdf
If the car came from factory with a non-ABS option, I as far as I know even stock class could get away with the ABS delete. However, I'm under the impression that all 2G AWDs came with ABS standard, so you may want to look into that, as I believe trim level plays into it. If you want a definite answer, post a thread in the rules section on the MAC forums. Someone there'll know for sure.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
I had a blast at valley fair last weekend. I placed 2nd in SI for the forth time, I guess i'm destined to be a loser..haha. My car drove amazing, it was the first time I autoXed it with my new coilovers. They helped the chassis out alot. On the way home I noticed I was only running 12 pounds of boost, and I have no idea when it started doing that. Thats a bummer cause I only missed first by .050 of a second, full boost could have gotten me that win.
I will be at the July 5th DCTC event for sure.
What happened to Matt D....Do you still AutoX???
here are a few pics I scored...

for some reason i really like this pic, the old guy driving it is really cool.

and this is our buddy kracka doing what he does best.

Thanks for the pic! After only hitting one cone all day my painters' tape seems to be a bit excessive

The expression on your face is pretty priceless. Not something you normally see on course, lol.
Here're my shots from M2 on Sunday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/2984354...7617620791717/ That's all I felt were postable out of 2000, but hey, it's certainly a better ratio than the last event I shot.

It's called looking ahead. Looking where you want the car to be (in 50-150+ feet) instead of what the car is currently pointed at. A good thing to be doing.

Argh, I was planning on taking Emily's car since the event was full. Now I want to autocross but she made plans with her mom on Sunday.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
They posted the official times from last weekend in Iowa. The A-stock s2000 with hoosiers dominated the stock classes. They didn't have a street tire class.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Autocross was awesome today! I absolutely love the test & tune events Pretty much unlimited runs, 2 courses going at once, and less course working...that combo can't be beat. Janelle came along with me in the morning and did 4 ride-alongs (some of which with her eyes closed). She didn't much care for taking rides, but she did say she wants to give driving, or at least the novice school, a try sometime.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
how many runs do you think you got total? That sounds pretty sweet.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
AS many as you want! The most I have heard of anybody doing is 47 runs. After that, you just get bored an stop, even with trading cars. To put that in perspective, a full year of AX runs is 54 (9 events, 6 runs each) In the morning, the lines can be a little long. But in the afternoon, there were a number of time where, as people pulled up to the line I told them "go when ready" (I was the starter for one course)
I did 11 runs. 8 to learn a new car and R comps. 3 in an STS Miata. I tried to find some other cars to drive, but felt a little uncomfortable going up to people I didn't know and asking to drive their car, so I didn't ask a ton of people.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
I did 15 runs and figured that was enough since I want these tires to last me through the summer.

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Who's going this weekend? I'll be there, once again with my shitty tires. You'll probably hear me a mile away squealing

Re: The Great Autocross Mega Thread!
Is it a COM event this weekend? I don't see MAC having anything scheduled.

I'll be working, not like I would have passed tech anyway. I was just curious.
