History does repeat itself, mistakes and advances alike. The best we can do is learn from our mistakes. There is a reason that the PHS did not expand and turn into universal health care for the whole country.
And remember, Adams was known for doing things that were borderline unconstitutional, and stifling to the country. Almost all the other founders disagreed with things he did. He was ousted from office by Jefferson and didn't do much after that.

Good thing we have the constitutional right to succeed from the US as a state. I foresee Texas and others doing this eventually if it gets any worse and then we will have another civil war on our hands. The military will side with the conservatives and shit will hit the fan and hippies will die

I am not surprised..didn't know that, but not surprised at all. Things could get very ugly. I am actually going to be taking gun safety soon, not that i don't know how to shoot or haven't (i have a bunch) but for peace of mind. Then i am going to get my carriers permit just because I can and i will never carry. Then i am going to get some guns.
