Rod sheered right off at the base...talk about excessive cylinder pressure!
His turbo is ready to be sent away for upgrade from EF3 to EF4 too  The turbo is still in flawless condition, zero wear on the blades or housings, and absolutely no shaft-play.

The problem is Dallas doesn't have a good VIII/IX ECUFlash tuner so everyone tries to self-tune, with unexperienced self-tuning comes holes in shit. Andrew actually plans on getting tuned up there in April when we roadtrip it up for the spring cruise!

So even would a bad tune isn't a bit surprising one of these Howard rods would snap and at that power level?

I drove my X up once for a DB tune before going to Cobb, but Andrew hasn't gotten a tune anywhere yet. I always used to have DB tune my IX, but that's when I lived in MN.
