Fuel filter mounting question

Would it be alright to mount my fuel filter (the one normally located in the engine bay) back by my rear diff??

I am wondering if this is a safe location as I do not have much room for my fuel filter as it is quite a bit bigger than stock, and there isn't much area to mount to.

The rear diff area is tucked up and under, so no worries about bottoming out, and it is ahead of the gas tank and everything, so I don't see any problems, but to be honest, this is the first time I have run fuel lines on a car, and first time for an aftermarket fuel filter, so I don't know what the "rules" are.

Thanks
