need to decide to part or fix / sell. Help?

im hoping that the timing is off to some degree. If that is the case, timing belt, paint ( daddy and i paint and do body shit), and some stupid minor repairs wont be a great deal of work. I need to cut a rear quarter out of another car or buy one dealership style ( if they offer). It will be more time than money spent. It has a new alternator, new belts, tranny, engine is good etc. I think it might need axles.

I could get the car in and out in less than 2 weeks while working fulltime. It would be nice to have a buyer lined up before the work gets done.

As for the drag idea, Id prefer start with my other car ( 6/4 rear lsd ) for that. It already has the neccessary drive train and a good motor ( in spec comp. numbers).

If i could fix this car and get 3500+ for it, that is exactly what I would do. First it would take a trip to qpr for this that and the other thing.
