Maybe you've already answered this, but are you planning on having the car back up and together this year?

*sigh* Stupid little turbo... I just walked by my GT3561 in the kitchen and told my roommate that it's small. He was appalled.

Better yet, definitely get the car back together so you can push aside Tapp's 707hp mark.

Tapp is on a Mustang dyno, so they are probably making a little bit more. Their 707whp dyno was with a 50 shot though and their 10.0 pass at the strip was with a 75 shot. I could switch from SAE correction to STD and then it says 709whp or something.

Re: Dynoed my car before I broke it.

Shane- have you ever tried the Comp cams just for the hell of it? Forced performance sell what they name the FP2's. The grind seems really similar to 272's. Just wondering. Cams are my last thing to purchase. I just don't feel like dropping $600 on HKS if i can reach my goal with a set of Comps for $459. I don't care about HP numbers. I just want to reach an e.t. goal at the track of 11.99. I currently have a PTE 50trim, 780cc, Magnus manifold, 2g head stage 1 ported, DSMLink v2, Fidanza, etc..

Re: Dynoed my car before I broke it.

I have only had 272s and Web "Street Grind" on my car. Cher had the Comp Cam 101200s on his car and had some problems. I would have liked to have gotten some Crane cams for my car, but they cost quite a bit more than even the HKS cams.

Nice figures shane! Sorry to hear about the car. How much time did you have behind the wheel before you went to the track?

Just wondering if maybe some seat time before track events might be in order. So you can get used to all the HP.

If it wasn't for me driving my car everyday to work I know I would have had a hell of a time, launching my car correctly and getting a feel for the car.

That is part of the problem. I will never goto a Rock Falls day like that again. It was trying too hard to pull something out of a shit run, when I should have just scrapped the run, but when you have to wait 3-4 hours between runs, you get desperate to at least pull a high trap or something.

I don't know yet. Haven't starting pulling much apart yet. I can tell you that the rockers on the intake side do not like 11,300 RPMs though. They would rather eject themselves through the valve cover instead of staying on. So, if you plan on reving a DSM to 11,000 RPMs, that problem may need to be addressed.

Re: Dynoed my car before I broke it.

Expecially that fast a change in RPM, not many setups would ever handle that. Did the cam follwers come apart or just come off? Maybe it's time for the switch to Russ Cox mode instead of switching drivers, least then you still get the fun of all your labor.

They came apart. I drove an auto DSM the other day. It wasn't too much fun.

Ask Russ how many parts he still replaces even with an auto.
