On the DSM, you have to change the rear end, pedals, ecu, turbo, injectors, shifter & cables tranny & of course it requires adding the master clutch cylinder, and lines/slave not to mention rewiring some of the less obious things like the backup lights and bridging the neutral saftey switch etc. It is a large project, I gave this guy a deal as he is a friend, the next one if there ever is will be minimum 2500 plus the donor parts car. So yea, you could buy a decent 1G with a manual already for the same money. The only way it would be worth it is if you really liked you car (extrememly clean) had a POS manual car with a good tranny and parts and had a lot of patience and extra time on your hands. Or find a friend with a shop that doesn't know how to say no and you are all good.
