Just make sure the cams are taken out of the head. It should be obvious as to what valves are bent, if they are. The exaust valves just get more build up then the intake valves I dont think that would be detonation. So if the piston and cylender wall look fine I would lap the valves, get it decked, and some new valve seals. Good luck with the car.
