Did Bush go to Vietnam?
Who cares? What does that have to do with anything? [/b][/quote]

I don't want a spineless wimp running our country. Bush may not do everything right, but at least he has balls and makes a stand.
I think some one that volonteered for vietnam has way more balls than someone that skipped town while in the national guard.

That is exactly what I am telling you. If you look at any politicians voting record you will see inconsistencies. The over exageration by the republicans on Kerry's record is just another way they try to do anything to discredit people.

Umm...yeah he VOLUNTEERED to go back. And as far as some of the others comments about Kerry's purple hearts. Fuck you. Ggrow up and realize that anyone that diligently serves his or her country deserves your respect and admeration. You make me sick. I for one would not want to go off to war, so anyone that does is a hero in my book.

So you're telling me those who didn't serve in a war aren't fit for leadership of this country?

What do you want me to say? I agree with the first part, the second is pure speculation on your part, and I'm tired of arguing against your speculations.

Wow you democrats sure are bring the facts to the table. All you can say is be quiet, and spout off crap.

Instead of telling people "your lame" or whatever a 12 year old does, why dont you make some compelling argument against the good ones we have.

How can you say Kerry fought for our country when he went over there, shot himself in the ass twice, let some other guy shoot him, and went home???

And then when he got home he "tried" to be a big shot and said he threw his medals at the white house... He didnt though becuase he has them hanging in his office.. I guess he wanted to keep those but threw his ribbons across.

Kerry is a big inconsistancy... sorry.

:blah:

Wow where do you get your facts? Pro Bush ads? Pathetic. All republicans do is speculate and exagerate. Lighting is good at this. :jammin:

I'm sorry but in trying to further his education Kerry was to study in France, when he was told by the miltary he couldn't he joined the Navy and went on to do great things.

EclipseTurbo - John Kerry recieved three purple hearts, irregardless of what your partisan manipulators try to say, a purple heart is a purple heart.

Lighting to answer your question about having to have been in a war to be a good leader. Politicians have always and will always use proven leadership in the most extreme enviroments to show their leadership qualities.

People not in the military may aswell be strong leaders, they just need to show us in another way. For instance buisness records, which in this case don't look good for Bush.

So you dont care at all how he got his purple hearts? Figures. Purple heart means nothing when you get it by harming yourself on foreign soil.

And whats wrong with my facts? Uhh he did inflict wounds on himself 2 times, thats how he got 2 purple hearts... as for the ribbon throwing? Thats true!

So what else did I say that was pathetic and from ads??

Too late now.

Wow you pointed out one "exageration", even though I don't see how it actually is one.It doesn't matter what he was doing, he tried to get out of it.

Since I'm so good at speculation and exageration, I'd think you should be able to actually point some out.Don't you?

This is not correct, he did not go back. He went over once. Got hurt and got a purple heart. Heard you can get sent back home if you get 3 of them. Somehow got 2 more self inflicted wounds to gain 2 more purple hearts and got sent home. Some war hero!!

What are all these good things he was supposed to have done over there? Have you seen the pictures of him on the boat? The other guys aren't even near him! He was not well liked by the guys on his boat. As far as I am concerned, he didn't serve his country. To waste the military's time training you then only serve 4 1/2 months overseas is not serving your country. Then to come back and throw your medals over the white house fence while you are still a Navy officer, that is just plain wrong (not to mention illegal).

I signed up for 6 years, and served my country for 6 years. My dad volunteered for the Navy for the same reason as Kerry. His number was up for the draft and they were going to put him in the Army, so instead he volunteered and went in the Navy. He didn't want to go, but he went in and served his full term.

Actually you are not correct. He volunteered to STAY for a 2nd tour of duty.

As for him not serving his coutry conservatives like Lighting have said that you don't need to serve your country to be an able leader.

Congratulations you are an embarrassment to our coutry and our flag. Get over your own selfish inadequacies and face the truth, John Kerry nothing what you have made him out to be. You really are pathetic.
