when i was interning in Fl. they had a track (orlando speedworld) about 40-45 minutes from where i was living. after i found out about it i was up there at least once a week. they had wednesday and friday night drags from 6 to 10 pm or something like that. 10 bucks to spectate, 15 to race as much as you could. on fridays, you could really only get 4-5 runs in max cause of the amount of people there. but it was nutty fun.
if they could match something like that here, that would be sweet. and if they do put a track in, it had better be facing SOUTH or NORTH, preferrably south. that way the sun isn't in your eyes like Interstate Dragways outside Fargo. that is nice that it's 5 minutes out of town, but the layout blows.
basically, i would not mind driving half an hour to 45 minutes out of town for some fun.
