i noticed that on my 96 talon that the stock oil pressure gauge looks like it reads low. at idle it is just a little below the first line (not the very bottom line). at higher rpms it goes up about half way between teh two lines. im just checking to see if this is normal. i know the stock gauge sucks but its something.

has anyone tried the new castrol start up oil. we just started selling it at checkers so i think its new. it says that it gives greater protection during the starting of the engine. i checked the car for CW and it doesnt have any signs of it but id like to do my best to make sure it never gets it. i already disconnected the clutch switch.

The oil pump runs with the engine speed, the gauge will read low at idle, as engine speed increases so will oil pressure.
