Re: Early 2000-2005 Chevy Tahoe vs. Toyota Sequoia
I owned a 2001 Tahoe LT for about 7 years. Hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned. The only thing I had to do to it was a put in a new battery and replace the front hubs.

That tan one is pretty banged up if you look closely. The black one is in west Ft. Worth, about an hour from my house, but if he's flying all the way down we may as well go the extra few miles.

You definitely want the 2nd row captains chairs.

Re: Early 2000-2005 Chevy Tahoe vs. Toyota Sequoia
Thanks guys, Jungy actually picked it apart.
I am thankful for that. Another big thanks to Hughes for all of this and to evotuner for hooking a brother up.
Right now it's the white one, that has a faulty driver seat heater. (common issue) and then that black one.
Jet, I'm holding out for only ones with 2nd row captains chairs, makes the 3rd row actually usable and easily accessible.

True that. I made sure I got the second row captains chairs, so much easier, and they're heated as well.

On a side note, I saw an 02 Sequoia sell for $1600 recently. That was a deal.

Re: Early 2000-2005 Chevy Tahoe vs. Toyota Sequoia
Make sure the 4WD works. Being in TX, it's probably never been engaged. It should skip a bit when going in tight circle. There's no good way to check the auto setting, but that should be fine if the 4WD mode works. Also, make sure it has heated seats if you're getting leather, a lot of southern vehicles were ordered without it. Much more common in BMW's though.

Make sure to make note of tire wear. The green one will likely need new tires for our winter..
Can use that as a bargaining chip to lower sale price or may disqualify one vehicle over another based on price of vehicle plus the cost of new tires etc.

I was about to post the exact same thing. That green one's tires are shot. They won't do you any good this winter.
Just keep in mind that a semi-decent set of tires for this kind of vehicle is going to run you over $750.

I think he said he was going to see the Yukon XL first thing tomorrow morning, maybe that's why the post was deleted.

Easy to do. Already did the driver's side in ours and the pass side just went out. The new ones shouldn't need to be replaced again, their design is better.
