Welcome to forum!
Thank you. I'm still not big on the C6 styling yet (yes, even the Z). It's starting to grow on me but that could be because the C7 looks like poop.

Dooo eeeet! Mine was $22k when I bought it 3 years ago with 28k miles on it. Prices are in the valley but seem to be holding around there these days. Definitely deals to be had out there.

Well, in what categories? I probably can't compare any better than what's listed on a spec sheet (never driven any C6). The C6Z is just a whole different animal though - massive brakes, aluminum frame, 325mm rear wheels STOCK, dry sump, 427 vs. 346, better interior (though I'd argue that one), plenty more capable power and handling, and the list goes on.

How does my car compare? In a straight line I'd really like to find out. I'm guessing it'd be VERY close. I should have the edge on the top end and I am a little lighter but probably nothing to give an advantage. I'd sure like to find out though...

I was thinking straight line race and in the corners. I was thinking mainly a drag race as your pretty close with the z06 in power numbers. I really want a z06 but they hard to find a decent one that's close by.
You planning on doing anymore power mods?

Ehh, I'd like to get into a house and more financially ready before I jump into that kind of debt again. Ideally, I would wait until I could either put down a huge chunk, or buy one outright. Maybe once the C7 is out for a year or two they will drop into the teens. I fell in love ever since riding in a few friends Vette's.

Yeah they're pretty tough to find locally, especially at reasonable prices. Seems like everyone's asking a good $8-10k more than national listings. Mine was local, but I found it on the national forum so he knew what the real market value was.

As for power, I still have a ported intake mani/throttle body to throw on and that should hopefully put me at 440whp/420wtq. My next step would be ported heads but I'm not in much rush to get that done. I still want to get coilovers and start working on other areas of the car - it's getting close though.

Yeah I totally hear you. I got mine right after buying a house and wouldn't have done it any other way. Yeah hopefully the market comes down a bit after the C7 release. I'll be keeping an eye on that for sure.
