Re: My Newest project....

considering he's only running 560cc injectors I think it's safe to assume he will be running pump gas.

As for running the stock pump and fpr you should be able to get by for a little bit for break in. you can adjust for the 560's with link so things will run okay but I would keep boost low until you can get a walbro 255

I def plan on still getting the 255 and afpr...but its either $200 for a new head or a $300 for a pump and afpr setup. I just cant do both right now. Which sucks.

And i def plan on keeping boost low. I am hoping that the wastegate is around 10 psi. Ive been trying to find out exactly how low the wastegate is set but i get different answers all over the place.

$200 for a stock head seems a bit much, I sold my stock 2g head for under $50 to Brandon (Halon). It just needed a resurface from a blown headgasket but otherwise fine.

If you have limited funds, find a cheap stock head in good condition and run a smallish fuel pump on whatever injectors you want. The injectors have nothing to do with if you need to run an aftermarket FPR. If you decide to run a 255 right away, the pump could overrun the stock regulator and you'll get a bit of extra fuel at idle, but nothing that will ruin your motor. If you have to decide between a head or regulator, buy the head and just run a stock regulator for now.
