Re: Need New DD...~15k

Hmmm, maybe I will just buy the Kizashi then at 0 72 months lol.

AWD one in stock in a good color?

God I seriously just need to win the lottery so I don't have to think to buy a car.

Or just sell the evo and buy normal car with cash.

Didn't Suzuki come in dead last in the 2012 consumer reports or jdpower listings?

Also leasing is bad, mkay? If you do the math, make sure you do *all* the math...99% of the time they are a horrible deal.

Re: Need New DD...~15k

Everything with any interest is a bad deal though, which I get...but I need to pay something to get the car as I don't have any money to buy one with cash otherwise I would, like I said, need to win the lottery

The Kazashi from what I have been reading is pretty well respected and comes in 5-6 in most mid car sedan ratings. I guess I have seen some very good ratings on it and even the other dealers I spoke with about it said yea but they don't have dealer support. Dealer support is like the #1 bad thing about it apparently, which I don't see as an issue as I have whitebear for now.

Maybe I should've just left this as which car to buy instead of financing...too late now, getting complicated. I guess 0% makes more sense, we will see if I can swing that.

So the Suzuki is about $335/m with the 0%. Averaging the 3 years of lease vs 3 years of loan you're probably somewhere like $360-370 a month for the total of 72 months, on a front wheel drive car.

So $335 * 6 years * 12 months = 24,120 for that suzuki.

$365 * 6 years * 12 months = $26,280 for whatever else you're talking about.

I thought the budget was $15,000?

My original budget was based on what I thought I could get a car loan for at this time that translated into 300ish payments a month.

So I figured 15k with TTL is 16-17k area, maybe 18k area at 3-4% or whatever was around that.

15k isn't really the goal, its a monthly payment truly. But at the same time I don't want to do anything stupid, like pay stupid amounts of interest (which is where the talks are at now) to get a nice car. Like basically I didn't want a 20k car and pay 10k in interest type of shit.

I am really just looking at my monthly budget in all honestly, hence the monthly payment part.

JDPower doesn't like Suzuki because JDPower used to do Suzuki's customer satisfaction surveys. They got in to a disagreement, and dropped JDPower.

Also, Dave, I found a crazy ass deal on one of our Kizashi's in inventory. We have an ex-demo with like 6,000 miles on it. It's a black AWD Kizashi SE with leather, for 19,999!

You also need to look at what you're spending in total too, not just monthly. Look at the bottom line: Are you comfortable spending $25k on a DD when you already have a $35k + mods Evo?

Full factory warranty remaining and still eligible for 0 for 72? Never titled so legally it's still brand new and he'll be the first owner?

This gets my vote. Close to your original budget, no lease, and technically still brand new. Now, just negotiate them lower since the tires, brakes, and fluids all have wear & tear on them

If it lasts me 120k miles sure, my goal has been to have a good daily driver.

I am single, I don't have family or shit to worry about, just me so I can be greedy. I just hate that I used to have a nice DD (the evo) now I drive a shitbox most of the time.

A 25k car I think is reasonable for a normal car though in all honesty.

Shawn thinks I should buy a 10-12k car and then drive 30k miles and keep doing it. Which honestly if you can find good cars and keep doing that it works great, better than any of my options really. I just want a car that gets me a lot of years/miles with warranty and decent gas mileage. All of my desire to work on cars goes toward the evo, don't want my regular cars to break too.

In all honesty I should've bought a nice dd car then saved up for a project car after, but hey I am not perfect and made a mistake having my DD be my fun car.

Fun cars make perfect DD's, you just need to be responsible about it

You mean like the $3500 we're already losing by selling the car*?

*We sell cars for less than we bought them before because the manufacture pays the dealership money when we meet a goal. This money makes up for the lost money.
