I’m just having some fun and the 1G is a perfect and easy platform to do that with. I have an evo too, but I’m not willing to make it a race car. It’s kind of crazy that I put more miles on 1G’s during the year than the evo, although it's easy to do with a winter that seams like it will never end.

Ha, I hear ya. I pulled my 1G out today and drove it everywhere, I forgot how much fun it is to drive, even if the exhaust is a little loud for my taste. The Evo motor build starts this week and it will end up being a lot faster than my 1G, but I'm not taking out any creature comforts out of it whatsoever, both are going to be fun drivers. Can't wait for spring.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects

I changed my valve cover venting from 2 –an8’s to a catch can with a single little filter. I was filling the catch can up with oil. From empty to overflowing in one pass! I added a HLA, plugged the vents in the valve cover and drilled a new hole in the back of the head for an –an16 fitting. The machining pictures are of my new stage 5 MAP head.

I built a new catch can with much more capacity and used 2 K&N 3’ filters.
