Last i knew the car was in great shape. My uncle works for the highway dept back home and takes very good care of his vehicles.
The only thing i can think of for sure is that the clear coat is bad on the car. Which is normal for a car of that year.
And i would offer to mow his lawn, but thats like 50 some acres of land. lol.
Also, could the not shifting into first be related to the clutch being bad? I dont know if he tried to shift the trans with the car not running. I remember my buddy having an issue with his clutch master cylinder and we could shift the car in all gears as long as it was not running.
