Truf. A buddy showed me his Reuger LCP the other day and the holster he has sits just off the hip, I put it on and you literally can't hardly tell its there.

Made me think about getting one finally...

They have quite the bite to them, honestly I don't find my too fun to shoot but I do carry with me just about everywhere which is the important part. The other downer is .380 auto can be hard to find sometimes and kind of spendy. They go on sale all of the time so just keep and eye out at cabelas or gander mtn and you can have one pretty cheap. To sum it up for the price I'm happy with mine but if you have a little extra cash to spend I'd look at the sig p380.

Re: The Gun Thread

That was my LCP he was looking at. I bought a Kel-tec P3AT before the LCP, and it was shit. Goes bang about half the time. Kel-tec said they would fix it for free, but I have to ship it to them, and to ship guns, you have to ship overnight and it's like $70. About 25% of the value of the gun. The Kel-tec had tons of rough edges and machining marks in it. I polished most of them out, and it operates a ton smoother, but still doesn't go bang all the time.

So I bought the LCP.... It's the SAME gun, just made by ruger, and finished a lot better. There's a couple of ounces of extra weight to it, which is good, because if you limp wrist the kel-tec at all, it won't eject the shell. The LCP doesn't get that way until you've almost emptied the magazine and most of the weight is gone. The Ruger also has a slide lock, which the kel-tec doesn't have. I put 260 rounds through it the day I got it to break it in, and it worked flawlessly. My palm was pretty bruised up the next day though.

The slide to the ruger fits on the Kel-tec perfectly. Obviously, firing it would be dumb, but they are exactly the same design. Kel-tec sued Ruger over it, but Ruger proved that Kel-tec stole the design from somewhere else and the lawsuit was dropped.

One interesting thing is that Kel-tec says you can use +P ammo in the gun when carrying and infrequently, but Ruger tells you not to use it at all. So I'm just carrying it with crappy Winchester white box right now until I can find a good defense round that is not +P.

I carry with a Fobus E2 Evolution holster made for the P3AT. It's a great little paddle holster that holds the gun close to you (outside the waistband). I carry above my right rear pocket, or above my left front pocket if I'm driving. With just a shirt pulled over it, it's nearly impossible to tell that I'm carrying.

If I was going to get another carry weapon, I'd look at this one from Boberg (they are a MN company):
http://www.bobergarms.com/

Not cheap, but really small for a 9mm. I tried carrying a Glock 19 for awhile, but it was way to big and bulky, especially when traveling. With the LCP, you forget it's even there. One thing that's just bizarre to me is that Glock doesn't have anything that competes with the LCP. That's a huge market right now, and they're throwing it all away. If they had something as small as an LCP and that worked as well, I'd buy it in a second.

Cool that it is a local company but it's vaporware and sounds like they intend to make it premium priced. I have an NAA Guardian but it's too heavy to carry. The Sig P290 looks great to me.

Re: The Gun Thread

Just ordered an Arsenal SGL41 from K-Var

.410 is a small shotty but it looks sweet and can throw 15 shots of 00 buck down a hallway in a hurry
