Re: awd vs fwd

Aaron, I agree with you that FWD as less drivetrain loss and is lighter weight. It shouldn't have been much of a surprise that FWD with less power beat you on the freeway. In highway runs, pretty much all that matters is power:weight. (traction is irrelevant 100+)

how is traction irrelevent? i just see it pointless to be buying tires to put on your front every moth because you cant keep from blowing the tires off the line.. im not bashing on anyones car im just saying spinning from a roll may be cool for a while, untill you go thru a couple sets of tires, and also i dont really concider going for a roll a race, only from a dig, i would like to see a fwd dsm beat a awd dsm from a dig.. if im wrong prove me wrong.. but traction is everything in racing you sound stupid saying its not even in drifting traction is key

You're actually the one that sounds stupid. I said 100+ at 100 almost every car should have traction no matter the tire. Hell Nate hooks at 110 with almost thread showing 2nd hand tires from Jeff Bobby and Steve's. But here you go writing a whole paragraph on something taken out of context.

And since I know from chat you're going to mention starting at 100 and that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying no matter where you start from you'll have it by 100.

Take a gander at the current 14b (he moved up to a 16g) record holding dsm. its an Automatic and FWD. I believe he is in the 9s now, from a dig.
