Interesting Election Facts - from a MN Professor

Got this in an email the other day. Thought it was interesting:

BORN 1776, DIED 2008_
_ _ It doesn't hurt to read this several times!!

PROFESSOR JOSEPH OLSON OF HAMLINE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW IN ST.
PAUL , MINNESOTA , POINTS OUT SOME INTERESTING FACTS CONCERNING
LAST NOVEMBER\'S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION:
*NUMBER OF STATES WON BY: OBAMA: 19 MCCAIN:
29 *SQUARE MILES OF LAND WON BY: OBAMA: 580,000
MCCAIN: 2,427,000 *POPULATION OF COUNTIES WON BY: OBAMA:
127 MILLION MCCAIN: 143 MILLION *MURDER RATE PER 100,000
RESIDENTS IN COUNTIES WON BY: OBAMA: 13.2 MCCAIN: 2.1
PROFESSOR OLSON ADDS: "IN AGGREGATE, THE MAP OF THE TERRITORY
MCCAIN WON WAS MOSTLY the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of
the country.

OBAMA TERRITORY MOSTLY ENCOMPASSED THOSE CITIZENS LIVING IN
LOW INCOME TENEMENTS AND LIVING OFF VARIOUS FORMS OF GOVERNMENT
WELFARE..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population
already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million
criminal invaders called illegals - and they vote - then we can say
goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this
message.

IF YOU ARE NOT, THEN PASS THIS ALONG TO HELP EVERYONE REALIZE JUST
HOW MUCH IS AT STAKE, KNOWING THAT APATHY IS THE GREATEST DANGER
TO OUR FREEDOM.

Re: Interesting Election Facts - from a MN Professor

Surprise, I'm replying!

I don't think I saw anywhere a popular vote count in that list. And Righties will have a problem with this, but do you know how many elections Bush actually won? I think it's less than one. Fuck the hanging chad, pregnant chad, and florida. Also, in the same vein that republicans would take issue with me bringing up bush and his shennanigans, why the hell is this shit circulating the web still? Bitter McCain supporters. It's been two years, you have two left, at least. Possibly six if the "minority, low income" voters come out in full force again.

Also, for those of you retarded enough to really read into emails like this, think about how the USA is set up with electoral votes, and how some states have way the hell more than others. New York, Ohio, California, etc. You can't argue that the loser got more states than the winner because it's not a valid argument. Remember: electoral college.

I'm spent. Revel in the glorious light of Sarah Palin.

I would be okay with having someone that acts like he graduated high school.

All I can say is.....do none of you remember the same BS "Facts" being passed around the internet in the 2004 election? This is a fabrication.
