Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

Selling my DW800's and getting ID1000 fuel injectors instead.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

ID1000's, very good choice. ID ones are the bees knees.

I'd probably do the FIC1100's myself though, cheaper.

So you are hitting the dyno tomorrow then?

ID is a local TX company based not far from here, they're in-stock and won't change the timeline at all (install/tune tomorrow), easy choice for this situation. I just made this decision late yesterday afternoon.

800's would have been enough, it wasn't larger size I was after with this move.

Bah, the DW's aren't as bad as people say, especially the 800's haven't seen many problems with them at all

You didn't answer the real question, you hitting the dyno tomorrow?!

After getting some news yesterday, then talking to a few people, it was the easy choice. An engine failure is not something I'm willing to risk, especially over only a few hundred extra dollars. Plus the extra capacity to support E85 if I ever decide to make the conversion will be convenient.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

Muhahahaha!!

dew want!!!

I was asking about the injectors because i was unsure if you were on corn. Also I'm aware that ID1000s are a superior injector, they are the bees knees!

I don't like any DW products, haven't really seen anything solid from them as far as pumps or injectors go.

How much psi, you looking to run with this thing?

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

Probably right about 26-27 peak then tapering down like I am with my stock turbo.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

Change in plans...

No tuning this weekend, someone at Cobb had, from the sounds of it, a pretty serious personal emergency so I'm trying to just remember that life is obviously far more important than cars and not be too upset about the delay. I may still get the turbo installed this weekend and get it tuned one evening next week after work. Delays won't be any longer than a week...

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

Can't you tune it yourself? I figured the dyno was just for numbers?

Good luck to whoever is having issues, but hey now you can take time to make everything extra pretty with your car!!

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

Nope, I don't have a wideband in this car and have no interest in street-tuning anymore. I'd rather make it someone else's problem while I go eat tacos then come back with my car ready to rip around.

Not a bad philosophy if you aren't comfortable or just don't care to do it. There would be more fast cars if people just paid the professionals/trained individuals instead of taking 2 years tuning a car that would have taken a pro 20 minutes.

**Not a slam on anyone on this forum in particular, just a general observation**
