Hey one other idea, maybe the clamps from the pump outlet are loose, allowing pressure to escape back into the fuel tank? Or a ruptured hose?

I'm wishing that I'd just gone Hobbs from the start. I didn't know that FB sold the Hobbs switches and whatnot until after paying BlaqOPs for their progressive setup. They advertised that as better than their Hobbs setup and I'm a sucker for gadgets, what can I say?

Dave has the same BlaqOPs pumps but in a stock fuel pump housing and with an afpr setup from MAP. The wrench that I threw into this was the FB hanger and I still have the stock fpr. The only thing about the FB hanger that weirds me out is the suction line setup, other than that it's just a couple holes for pushing gas so what could go wrong? lol.

I had the pump housing out and took it all apart last night to replace the primary pump, so the hoses are all good. I guess I could verify the hard-line connections underneath the car.

I was going to say...mine seems to work out great.

The blaqops got me because a lot of X guys ran it with great reviews...i feel like mine worked out fine and seemed to work great.

Not gonna lie, I probably woudl have bought the progressive kit too. I urged trevor to do so on his car! It's easy to say you wouldn't do it again now that you're having problems, have to just see what happens I guess.

Like I said, i have seen it work perfect more times then not...but perhaps the sometimes i was getting backfires, possible misfires, was because of this kit.

Hopefully not what destroyed my motor??

Yeah, it's just going to take some troubleshooting to isolate. My enemy is time...neither Shane nor I have very much. lol.

I ordered a couple new fuel pressure guages. I'll definitely leave my setup better than where it started, one way or another.

If you want to try switching my AFPR setup to your car for testing purposes you can also try that, i'd just prefer if Shane did it or one of their techs, lol. No offense to you, you can take it off, but id like him to put it back

My car is not moving so mind as well make use of parts from it to help troubleshoot...between us we could make a single functioning EVO!!

If it comes to that then I'm inclined to plumb in a setup for myself and leave it there. It'd just be one more thing that I hadn't planned on doing. lol.

I'd still like to take a peek at yours to see how they handled the hard-line connection. The pipe seemed a bit small to just clamp a 6AN hose on there.

Shane was able to figure out my power window problem. Woot! Now we're just down to that pesky fuel issue.

I just ordered $100 worth of fittings from Jegs for plumbing in my Aeromotive afpr. Not sure if I ordered all of the correct stuff...it's not the easiest task, especially without the car here at home to measure stuff. We will see!

That would be me. Murlo (Dave) has the same pumps but in the stock (plastic) hanger.

Gotcha, another thing is that I highly doubt the suction assembly has anything to do with the erratic pressure. The suction assembly works off the return line and I see no way of getting backed up. The gss342 is a normally closed pump. If the second pump is not on, then it would just act as a check valve.

The first thing i would do since you have a progressive controller on there, is to bypass that controller by running straight 12 volts to the both pumps. Seems as though the progressive controller is pulsating the second pump. In all honesty, I would ditch the progressive controller. There is no need to progressively control intank fuel pumps. Progressively controlling pumps will help keep them cool. If you had a big external pump that whines like hell and heats up on the street, then I would install the progressive controller. Hope that helps a bit. LJ

So if it weren't powered then it wouldn't back-flow? If that's the case then I could install one in the second pump position and the hanger should operate okay as a single-pump setup...temporarily.

If I hear from Shane that the pump swap didn't help then I'm leaning toward installing a Hobbs switch setup.

Yep, we have tested this in the vehicle and on the bench.

The pump swap didn't work. Shane said that scheides was going to be at DB on Saturday and he'd try swapping the fpr for me if there was time.

I have afpr parts on the way and am going to convert the setup to a dual GSS342 with the second pump on a Hobbs. Waiting to hear from BlaqOPs to see if they have one in stock, otherwise I'll source the switch locally.

-2Gb MicroSD card (I should have a copy of the config file I've been on there, if not I'll email it to you)
-ODB2 cable extender. I ran mine from the stock plug location all the way under the center console to the armwrest, very slick!

Spent a lot of time on this thing today with shane and mike. I'll let lomker explain, but it is getting closer and closer

Saw it rip off a good pull with the 1000's and a single pump, out of fuel at like 6800rpms and shane shut it down, and it was making damn awesome power.
