The wiring looks super clean as-is! I say leave the fuse box, keep it functional/easy to access. Where do people normally put it? Where the stock SMIC goes?

That is where me and Andy put ours. He never had a problem, but I've gone through a few relays due to water and poor splash guards.

I'm going to leave it in the stock location on my Talon. Like you said, easy access, dry, and still looks very noice.
