Re: Subaru for sale

Yup, there are huge differences in rotor quality. Not only do better quality rotors last longer, they also stop quicker too. The worst rotors I've found have been Autozone's. Napa's are supposed to be decent and I had good luck with Checker's. For a performance application though at least get Centric blanks (sold under a lot of different names such as RotorPro, Stoptech, Powerslot, etc.) or better.

Re: Subaru for sale

A *LOT* of C5 Corvette guys run Raybestos rotors on their cars for track duty and daily use. Raybestos tends to have thicker rotors that prevent warping. The "downside" is that they hold more heat, but if you run good pads, holding heat is a good thing.

It is the brand Checker Auto Parts carrys/carried.

Re: Subaru for sale

I hope the durango vent system was designed a little better than the one in the viper. If not, someone should have been fired.

Sure. Having some parts powdercoated now and am busy the next few weeks but should be able to do it before the end of the season.

Should have just pressed the econ button. I think I had a tiny coolant leak in my quest, and maybe it's just a quest thing, but it stopped leaking after a while. Sealed itself right up. You should just wait, and it the car likes you, it may heal itself.
