Re: Fuel Pump Issue

Electrical issues are always the most fun, mostly when they do not stay broken.

Re: Fuel Pump Issue

I walked out today after only removing the positive and than re-attaching it to the battery without touching another thing, and it did not start. I created another ground to use on it, and going to sand down/clean up the sending unit tomorrow so has a much better ground before i drill the top. It's really tempting, but i want to keep it as stockish as i can for now. I thought about toying with it tonight but the problem is i can't test the ground when i'm starting it inside the car as well. But i've got two wire wheels, a brush, and plenty of rust to remove. After that we'll install and test from there to see what could be wrong. One thing i saw today, and thought could be the issue. If the stock ground is bad going to the fuel pump relay in the front of the car that could prevent that relay from working wouldn't it? I had rust flaking off the nut when i removed it. so gona clean up the base and take a hand held brush to that as well to make sure that's not the problem either. Didn't really think of that last night, cause that would explain why we were getting a great power suply but nothing was happening.

Two things i hate the most, electrical and body work... always those two things i hate doing and end up getting stuck having to work on.
