So Saturday I put on my Test pipe and also fix an exhaust leak. I get hom ethat night and decide to leave the car out of the garage. I wake up Sunday AM to a loud crash and bang sound. WTF? So I go outside and all looks well. But then I see it. Laying in the front yard is a huge piece of shower stall walling material. You know white plastic that you attach to the drywall in a shower and then seal with caulking and such. I throw on my shoes and head out to pick it up. It is then I see the deal. The wind picked it up from who knows where and it smashed up on the hood and side of my car. No dents but scratches galore!! I just got the car repainted last fall and now this. So I spent the whole day washing and cleaning the car. Most of the scratches are gone and I can bet that the remaining can be buffed out. So I had a shitty Sunday.

Sorry just needed to vent.

I would be pissed! Hopefully you can get all the scratches buffed out. I'd hate to see a beautiful car like your ruined.

Thanks folks. I like the first reply about the shower stall. I got most ogf them taken out by hand buffing with a finishing compound/polish. After gettig in my car today at lunch I realized that the windsheild got scratched as well, right in my field of view. The windsheild is also new. ARG!! Anyone know how to take light scratches out of a windsheild? They are very light but when the sun hits them they are annoying.

Cheap ass toothpaste is actually a really good buffing compound. If you have a power buffer I would try that. I am pretty amazed that it scratched the glass, that is pretty damn hard!

Went to the body shop and all the scratches can be buffed out completely. The windsheild is the issue now. If all else fails thank god I got full coverage insurance. Will call them and see what the deal is for wind damage on vehicles.

I heard about that toothpaste trick too. It worked great on scratched clear coner lense.

Yeah, once we got it jumped and let it run for a while it's been all good. I drove to work today for the first time in months! It felt weird driving again..lol

Glad to hear you can buff out the scratches. At least a windshield is easier to replace, and usually free w/ insurance.
