I brought this up in the shoutbox, but I'm going to reiterate it here for all.

I think it's ridiculous to make a "no tech support in the shoutbox unless it's urgent" rule. I realize some issues that are discussed should be posted, but there's a lot of quick stuff that doesn't need its own thread.

What if I'd created a thread about how I undid two bolts on the downpipe and it wouldn't come off (true story)? I'd have one reply telling me that there's a third on the bracket, two telling me I'm blind, five calling me a dumbass, and twleve after that to say "LOL."

And you know what? That serves no other purpose than to clutter the board and make us look like a bunch of dicks to outsiders.

I do agree though that the PM thing is quite ridiculous.
