The getrags are PITA to rebuild. I have a copy of the rebuild manual and you need an oven to heat parts up to a certain temp and then have them pressed off or on. No one rebuilds them and if they have they don't hold up. My last getrag was out of a beretta GT with the Rodney Dickman conversion kit and ultimate short throw setup.

I did have a tranny start to make a god awful sound actually on my V8 swap. It had 180,000miles, the last 40,000miles were on the V8. Tons of launches and abuse. What went out was the input shaft bearing on the tail end of the tranny, gears and syncros were perfect.

I also had ground control coil overs, and poly bushings in the rear along with the addition of a sway bar. It really helped with bump steer. I have seen people use a front sway bar and some aftermarket endlinks to mount it up in the rear. On that setup it would be best to upgrade the front bar to a larger bar.

How has your cooling on the setup been so far?
