What do you mean swap it? With what? Are you buying a different tranny or having it rebuilt?

Well I need to get a 7 bolt tranny right now so my car can run, and then I will take his 6 bolt motor and put it in my car down the road. There are some extra wiring things that need to be done but it does bolt up to a 7 bolt tranny, just a few extra things needs to happen.

6 bolt or 7 bolt has nothing to do with the transmission. I swapped in a 6 bolt on my 2g and I used my original transmission, there was nothing special to do. Whatever motor you put in, 1g or 2g, you're still going to use the same 2g transmission.

Good luck finding one, have you tried the link forums? Make sure if you buy used that you get a 97-99 awd transmission, the gearing is different than 95-96. Otherwise you'll have to get a matching transfer case too.
