RED RTV is the absolute worst shittiest RTV ever, says the Permatex brand rep. Shoulda gone with Ultra Black... And whats so bad about putting lock-tite on the studs? don't want them to back out... which has happened to me.

Exactly, I have had studs move around and tighten up more as I've tightened up the nuts onto them so I put a little dab of thread-locker on them and let it sit for about 5-10 min and then they are good to go. I've also taken studs out that have thread-locker on them and they aren't much harder than if they didn't have anything on there.
