The only thing I can think of is the 1G water pump you're using is dimensionally longer than the 2G one. The mounting holes for the PS pump bracket on the block should be the same. And since the 1G uses a v-belt instead of a ribbed, you can't exactly swap pulleys. You might have to slot the PS bracket holes.
