Step 9 says "add washers", I guess I could be a little more clear.

I followed the instructions there, I shimmed it perfectly, still the same problem, thats why I was tearing my hair out handfuls at a time.

again, stated in the first couple sentences, the extended master cylinder rod is what did it.

I'm guessing that's what's up with my car. My clutch grabs about an inch off the floor. However, I have a ss clutch line, new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, new fluid, bled correctly.

Thing is, I have no problems shifting. I can shift it with a finger if I wanted.
